I just wanna run on the roof tops with a Mario Sunshine FLOOD
(Source: emperorpalpatineswhore)
The past few years I’ve lived my life like a Mario level where the screen just pushes me forward. Except in this version of the level I can’t die. I just get fatter and periodically forget the screen is the only thing pushing me forward. Sometimes an emissary from the Mushroom Kingdom shows up and reminds me I’m not going to get anywhere just chilling in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. I press “a” a few times, realize I’m rusty at this Goomba stomping shit, and lay back down.

I find myself begging for a Game Over screen. Not death. Just a prompt to start over/load my old file. Real life is not nearly as forgiving as Ninja Gaiden. I didn’t think anything was less forgiving than Ninja Gaiden.

There is no Game Over. Life will keep on going. Every time I figured it was Game Over I have let out a hearty shrug and a swift sigh as I waited for things to load up again. However the message I have received is “No this is not game over. The pile of shit you’re under is just bigger and your character is now weaker. Deal with it or continue to suffer the consequences.”

You cannot load up a an older file. There are no real life save states. And you cannot roll a new character when things get too frustrating.

Is so good that my mind might explode!
